Thank you for this, Freedom Fox. May the citizens of New Mexico find the sense God gave geese and impeach this tyrant. And it doesn't matter what people think about gun control, for or against, allowing the governor to declare an emergency like this sets a horrendous precedent that can be exploited by any future governor, from whatever party, for whatever reason. Thusly we descend into warlordism. Wow, I just typed that sentence.

I believe this is playing out as both a template for resistance and a lesson learned by authoritarians. Imagine if mask mandates had been met with the same ferocity of resistance as this gun control push. Out of the gate. Given no chance to take root.

She got ahead of narrative. The battlefield wasn't prepared to favor her act. Even leftist D's backpedaling.

It was a probe of our defenses. In information wars this is a scouting mission. Or a distraction from another strategic maneuver. They learn. We learn. The nature of WW III. Defenses here appear to be holding. We must build redundancy so when they do it again they don't mess with the communications networks we're using to repel them now.

Yup. I was very surprised with Jeff Childers characterized this as a complete loss for them. "The bigger significance of this story is that nobody — even democrats — seems to have an appetite for the “public health exception” notion anymore," he said.

They stumbled upon a limit in this time, place, and manner. As you said, they learn. We better keep learning, too.

It's a balancing act. Taking the win for what it is. We need wins, even small ones right now to keep our side engaged, hopeful. It's very easy to be black-pilled with loss after loss. Small victories to build upon, rally the troops. Shows that a rapid response and immediate disobedience with tyrannical demands is the path forward for liberty.

But, we are down big in this game. The seemingly successful pushback on 2A encroachments on liberty is a field goal in a football game we're down 42-6 in the third quarter. The court ruling lifting the TSA mask mandate, the roll back on "vax" jab mandates the other two field goals. So now we're down 42-9. No time to spike the ball and dance in the end zone. We take the points. And rally for more.

It amazes me that so many people think victory has been won and they don't realize that the focus needs to be on their own local government such as watching laws that limit the number of chickens. Like guns, if you don't see the need for protection, you don't see the need to make sure chickens aren't limited to 4. This is another one of their lockstep agendas to take away people's right to protect themselves. The C40 city agenda is all being rolled out locally and we need to keep an eye on every traffic law and camera installed.

I have a dear friend, a died in the wool, bleeding heart liberal in New Mexico, who is preparing to move back to Illinois because she is finding out that the bleeding heart liberals are not the caring and thoughtful people that she thought that they were. She is a lifelong proponent of renewable energy. A big solar farm is proposed for her area. She can't get the bleeding heart liberals to have anything other than a NIMBY response and seriously consider the project. Relationships are straining and breaking. As I said, those folks turned out to be, and/or are becoming, neither thoughtful nor caring.

What I have not seen in the news is whether the criminals who committed the crimes she cites were legal gun carriers or had obtained their weapons illegally. It is an important distinction since if the weapons were illegally owned then the governor's actions are useless since criminals will continue to carry guns with or without a prohibition.

Facts don't matter. Remember PCR tests don't detect infection and the term "cases" is made up, linguistic deception, not medical science pre-2020. Masks don't prevent spread. "Breakthrough infections" another linguistic deception shifts the blame for "vaccine failure" pre-2020 from pharma to the people, your fault their drug doesn't work.

None of the concerns you raise matter to the narrators of these usurpers of freedom; they make up their own set of facts and words to justify their authoritarianism. It's the same. It's all the same. Arguing facts of mask efficacy with those demanding them is futile. Same with gun grabbers.

We must fiercely protect our constitutional rights. They are absolute. Don't be limited by their declarations to the contrary. The fire in a crowded movie theater argument only goes so far. Its logic milked beyond reasonable terms. "Shall not be infringed" doesn't come with an asterisk.

I wish I could agree with you but when it comes to bleeding heart liberals, I have learned that you cannot reach or reason with them using rational thought.

If that were so, then the liberal bleeding heart governor would have indicated at some point whether these were criminals with illegal weapons. I suspect they were, which is why it's not been clarified. And even if they were NOT, that does not justify suspending constitutionally guaranteed rights.

The 2nd amendment is not absolute as felons and those with mental issues are not permitted to possess guns. It is important to nip this governor in the bud and show that a good guy with a gun is safer than leaving all the guns on the street in the hands of criminals.

Whether or not the 2nd Amendment should be absolute is the debate. As you posit it, that's the case law judges have ruled on. Doesn't make their rulings constitutional. How many unconstitutional rulings have been overturned or should be? Your statement is true as a snapshot of present rulings. Not to be confused with the constitution itself. Justices are merely high priests in black robes protecting the interests of those who own the nation, as John Jay said. They are not all-knowing gods through whom truth, wisdom and human rights flow through. They are men. As fallen and compromised as all of us.

This is a war we are in, var. Information. I think of governors like colonels and baby generals. She imagines herself a Sherman marauding through Georgia on a march to the sea. She may end up being a Custer, misreading her adversary en route to a massacre at the Little Big Horn. Hers is just a battle in a larger war. That both sides seek to gain advantage from.

Our strongest and most potent strategy is noncompliance. Bringing more recruits in who know what real noncompliance entails, the hardships that may be inflicted. But who know it is up to us, here, now. For our posterity.

My family drove from Raleigh to Charleston a few years back. It wasn't hard to add some country highways to the trip, so we did. We stopped for lunch in a small town ice cream/hamburger place that had jerseys from the local college with "Francis Marion" on them. I had never heard of Marion, but if a local college was nuts for him, he seemed worth investigating. And he is!! He's absolutely the model for leadership in the coming days.

I exported all my writings on FB in early 2021 seeing what was ahead. The export formats aren't very user friendly, but at least I have the text and links I shared and can copy, paste, reformat to make readable, share on different platforms. I've often done so here on SS.

If you still have Fb account access you could do the same, all posts, comments, pictures, email addresses of your connections, direct messages, etc. The only things missing are the comments and pictures others shared on your shares, it's a one-sided conversation of your thoughts, missing the other side's context. But it's something, eh?

Note: would be wise to do the same export here on SS from time to time. The same could happen here. More likely than not in the years ahead.

I confess, I have not honored that principle consistently. And I will fall into anger in my dealings with others, depending on my state of mind and the nature of the offense. If I can discern it was unintentional I'm apt to stay above it with grace, mistakes happen. and I forgive easily. But if I discern that the offense is an intentional, directed act I will frequently reflect the offense as a concave mirror would the negative energy that's been directed at me or someone I'm protective of. Back at its source, but even more concentrated and focused.

I can be very reactive. Never first to strike out, but often apt to return fire with greater ferocity than incoming fire received. That's why I understand Pres. Trump's dealings with his opponents better than most, never first to strike, but will hit back hard if attacked. Off-putting to many. But a survival instinct for those who've had to navigate swamp creatures inside the treacherous halls of power.

True wisdom and walking with God comes when we learn we don't have to fight many of the fights we encounter. But they are unavoidable for leaders who wish to make a difference in a world filled with bullies and cowards. A Kenny Rogers song comes to mind about knowing when to turn the other cheek. And when you can't. Even God has Archangel Michael with his sword in service to him.

It's my greatest struggle of life to put down the anger that injustice fills me with. And when I share the wisdom to act with grace, understanding and forgiveness the words are intended for myself as much as for others to be reminded there is a higher path.

Expand full comment

That all hits the mark. “We don't have to fight many of the fights we encounter,” nor should we or we’ll exhaust ourselves to death before the war is over. Your concave mirror metaphor is a good one. Like Jacob Braude suggested, “Consider how hard it is to change yourself and you'll understand what little chance you have in trying to change others.”

You remind me of Christ’s words about the meek inheriting the earth. Somebody recently pointed out that “meek” in that context does not mean “silent pushover.” It refers to something more like peace through strength, well-armed but not threatening, and never the first to draw the sword. I agree that when we have to unsheathe the sword, we use it until they’re crying for mercy or destroyed. The Powers have drawn more than enough blood to justify our adopting General Patton’s dictum: "Nobody ever defended anything successfully. There is only attack and attack and attack some more." I like adding that to General McAuliff’s battle plan at the Bulge: "We are surrounded by the enemy. That means we have the greatest opportunity ever presented to an army. We can attack in any direction we choose." Maybe that's the higher path today.

You are a truly lovely human being. I just found your substack last night and this is the first article I've looked at. I'm enjoying reading all your replies. You are clearly a very conscious and considerate person.

I have a belief that we don't own any of the information, it's all the gift of the creators who gives us the energy to share. I came across this in a previous role where I was led to get information out and in the end, I collected donations and then donated it as in the pay it forward movement.

I don't know if substack has this option but you could always set it up so that all content is free with donations welcomed, then write about where you donated the money to help inspire others to contribute to their communities.

I learned that this energy exchange is so important and based on the love languages theory it helps others express their gratitude and keeps this energy flowing.

I admire you and appreciate you.

Personally I'd like to create an island with people like you on it and run a world wide competition to have people apply to start a new earth. What would the human race look like if we only allowed selfless people who want to give freely and contribute to building a healthy society live together? This is one science project I could get behind as an alternative to spending the rest of our lives trying to fix the society that is broken beyond repair. In the meantime, thank you for making this world a better place with your insights and information guided by the light.

Everywhere. The pattern is consistent. Unidirectional. On the back of a lie.

I read some of the early 2020 editorials coming out of China's CCP-controlled media After Trump's China travel ban was declared, as he was called xenophobic for it, China made their case that shutting down travel for respiratory illness was uncalled for, ineffective, had never been done before because it doesn't work, and that attempts to do so were political acts, not based in medical science. And...they were right! That was the original sin of the Trump pandemic response, an act that he still believes saved millions of lives. SMH.

It was a political act. And China gave fair warning in their editorials that by sticking with the ban the world would see the difference between the two governing models, collectivist authoritarianism vs. individualist democracy, in a crisis. Acknowledging that while democracy spawns more innovation and creativity in normal times that in times of crisis people prefer the "firm hand" of authoritarianism to guide them through it. And...they were right!! They understood human psychology, the psychology of fear. It's why so many people to this day still believe the most tyrannical officials protected them in peak pandemic fear. Re-elected by large margins.

Another thing China's editorials said was that it's not wise for leaders of a nation to change their governing system in the middle of a crisis. That attempts to do so will result in worse outcomes, division ensues. Stick with what you do best, how your population is used to being governed until the crisis lifts. Then work on changes to your system if you wish to do so. And...they were right!!!

China's CCP actually told us a lot of truths at the beginning of the pandemic that our own officials didn't. They even said Covid was successfully being managed with antivirals (like Ivermectin and HCQ?)

None of this is to say China was a good actor in this or a nation we should emulate. Just that you'll often find more truth coming out of the mouths of your adversaries than your own government will tell you. And why not? It amplifies our internal division our government's lies result in.

I listened to Radio Moscow as a child growing up in South Florida, transmitted from Havana nightly. I watched TASS evening news on my local PBS station in the evenings. I read Pravda in my local library when my parents took me. Not because I was an aspiring Communist. But because I wanted to know why our adversaries hated us, what their values were, how they understood the US to be.

Which, as it was, is EXACTLY what progressives and Democrats (redundant?) are saying the US is today. All of the loathing of the US and our history we hear from the left today was said by our adversaries in the Soviet Union as anti-American propaganda forty+ years ago.

They take truth and deception and throw it in a blender. Which leaves us with taking what is useful for us to learn - even foes will tell us truths, and leaving behind what is not - even friends will tell us lies. We must apply our own discernment. The greatest gift to defend our minds from deceivers that God gave us.

Great stuff, Freedom Fox.

I have a thought experiment for you. Suppose those folks gathering along the Rio Grande are not families that have been in the area for decades/centuries but were folks who recently crossed the river from Mexico illegally and stayed in the area. Suppose also that they are not English speakers, and the adults will never really learn the language. Suppose also that they came from rural areas of the Americas and Africa, and they recognize the government as something that can generally be ignored.

How are these folks going to make "good," compliant Democratic subjects? My experience says that they will not at all. Their reaction will be like the folks the governor found along the Rio Grande: living life as it should be lived, not knowing any "better" or different.

That goes for the illegal immigrants in cities, too (to the extent that there is a healthy share of family men among them).

Expand full comment

The thought experiment raised some thoughts in my mind....lets consider the 2nd Amendment - is that in place for just citizens or is it applicable for ALL who reside in the land where supposedly the document of the constitution of the lands holds precedent.

Notwithstanding that line of thought, I think to raise this issue of immigration and emigration for that matter muddies the waters on the topic at hand which is can a state governor declare an emergency that essentially takes precedent over the constitution of the land?

That is not a simple question at all and if the precedent is set I put forth the law of unintended consequences will rapidly become apparent - but one can't help but ponder - does the constitution still matter?

Evidence lately suggest sadly that it has already been abandoned and that is why during this time of "over the top flux" I put forth that BIG changes are on the way and they will be upon us within the year.

So, I have compassion for folks trying to get to somewhere better, but I often wonder - what is wrong with where they came from - my guess is many of them might after-the-fact realize that they would have been better off if they stayed close to home.

BK

I'm trying to follow the thought experiment and I would've replied earlier if I did. I know you're sharing something I'd like to understand, but are you able to rephrase it so I can follow more clearly?

Let's say those folks partying along the Rio Grande are recent immigrants from rural Mexico, families of them. Let's say that they weren't much affected by government there and didn't pay much attention to it (although NGOs like cartels could be different, depending on where they were). Once they got here, they do what they've always done; not pay attention to the government or media, just what they need to live their lives in peace.

That is the thought; here is the experiment: I don't think that they will accept the role of compliant Democrats very well. They're more likely to be playing music, dancing, and hanging out like normal people do, everywhere, not knowing that they are supposed to do something different.

And now there are so many of them, both in rural areas (like in this vignette along the Rio Grand and also in big cities; these folks (to the extend that there is a healthy share of family men among them) and not going to be easily herded by silly Democratic governors.

I'd like to think that the US military would be full of them. But they are in a structure they have to obey. They all wore masks. And only a very small percentage disobeyed the jabs. When I was in the service I knew I had to take all the jabs they told me I had to take. Even though I didn't want to. It's the contract you sign - obey orders.

The only health order I didn't obey was the one where the military dentist told me I had to have my wisdom teeth extracted. I asked if there was any problem with them, if they were coming in crooked or impacting other teeth. He said no. I told him I was rather attached to my wisdom teeth. He told me he could give me a direct order to have them taken out, I was military property. I told him that if he gave me such an order I would have to respectfully disobey. He never gave me an official order to submit to have my wisdom teeth removed after I said that. But it made my dental chart!

Mad props to those who refused the jabs at risk of being kicked out, especially those kicked out just weeks away from full pensions. Precious few. But they ALL wore the mask of obedience and submission. Every last one. Something I believe changes people forever. An act of submission to authority to breath freely. Once consented to always a slave to future demand. Most reasoning that they did it before, wasn't that big a deal, will do it again if the stakes are more than they wish to pay. Their threshold for obedience will be much lower than mine forever. The psychological damage is done.

Which makes them more likely to point their guns at civilians who they receive orders to eliminate as national security risks. This US military has been conditioned to obey unconstitutional edicts. They have deployed extensive military grade PsyOps campaigns against US civilians, political opponents of the regime. And it's not much of a leap to press "Fire" on a drone aimed at US civilians - they've done it overseas for decades from bases in the middle of the US. Our lives are just a video game to them.

Enemies of this nation have led the top spots for too long, appointed loyalists to political leadership military-wide. The Pentagon is full of traitors who've forgotten they swore an oath to the US Constitution, not politicians wearing brass on their shoulders and rainbow ribbons on their chests. I do not respect or trust this US military today. Not one bit. They will act as the Mongolian brigades acted in Tienanmen Square when the Chinese brigades refused to fire on protesters there. They are not coming to save us if any Q followers still think so. The mask compliance, jab uptake, J6 DC Occupation, mandatory DEI/CRT training and Information warfare PsyOps targeting American civilian minds, Afghan humiliation with nary a peep or high-profile resignations, complicity in the Hunter laptop "Russian disinformation" lie, disobedience of Trump's presidential orders to withdraw from Syria, coordination with Chinese military against he orders of a sitting president, etc informs me of what they've become: a hostile occupation force. And the sad thing is, the rank and file don't even know it, they believe they are protecting the nation from domestic threats as if the regime that leads them is legitimate.

I loved our military. I've stood with our military and veterans in prominent roles in my state before, been a strong voice and advocate rubbed shoulders with top brass and directed resources to assist them. I know it's not their fault. But I know they've been captured and what they are capable of doing against civilians that they'd never have done before. And they don't even know it.

To the degree that they are as you describe, yes, they will remain outside the system. And to the degree that we can develop local communities outside the system we will be better off. But at the points we must interact with the system we are vulnerable to it's influences; or be forced to do without things we need.

Although, I've often said that many of our inner cities are filled with people who are used to seeing authority as illegitimate and willing to disobey it and navigate around it. And ultimately our nation's freedom will be regained by a united coalition of rural Patriots and inner city minority Americans who share a disaffection for authority that the country clubs and suburbia are too willing to accommodate and support. It's going to be Billy Bob and Biggie Smalls (RIP) who save our nation.
